Our Children’s First Aid Programs
Small Steps to Saving Lives
At Cool Kids First Aid we believe that anyone can help to save a life. We use Small Steps in an age appropriate, fun and interactive way to introduce children to the basic but essential skills of first aid and managing an emergency. We offer a number of programs that are tailored to each age group from 3 years to 12 years. These program are offered in a range of education services.
We will come to you at a time and date that suits your facility and provide all resources required. Just book us in and let us do the rest!
In this 1-1.5 hour program the children will have the opportunity to learn and practice the following skills
- How to recognise an emergency situation
- How to roll a person into the recovery position
- How to call ‘000’
- Basic bleeding control
- The basics of asthma and anaphylaxis
The children will also get to meet our ‘Cool Kids’ characters Lexi and Leo as they are faced with an emergency situation.
Each child will receive:
- An individually named certificate
The centre will receive:
- A miniature first aid kit for the children to continue practicing their skills
- A copy of ‘What to do in an emergency with Lexi and Leo’ book
Each fun and interactive session uses age appropriate language and is designed as an introduction to essential life saving skills.
In this 1.75 hour session the children will have the opportunity to learn and practice the following skills:

- An introduction to DRSABCD (CPR) principals of first aid
- Basic bleeding control
Each child will receive an individually named certificate of participation at the conclusion of the session.
These interactive and fun sessions are designed to equip children with the basics of what to do in an emergency and are designed on the current ARC (Australian Resuscitation Council and ANZCOR (Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation) guidelines.
